RPE Leads The 2012 British Hillclimb Championship
03 August 2012
After a dominant performance this weekend at Wiscombe Park in Devon, Trevor Willis' RPE-powered OMS hillclimb car now lead the 2012 Avon Tyres MSA British Hillclimb Championship.
Willis took a double win at the Honiton venue, twice-bettering the eight-year-old hill record to set a new BTD and course record of 33.92s, the first sub-34s run ever achieved at Wiscombe.

His OMS single-seater is powered by the 500bhp RPC variant of RPE's famous Macroblock V8 engine (click here for more information). Showers disrupted running during the even, making the tight course extremely tricky, but Willis took advantage of his car's superior torque and drivability over rivals, to set BTD during rounds 21 and 22 of this year's series, above 124 other drivers at the event.

Trevor now leads the championship by four points over Scott Moran with 12 rounds remaining. For a full report of the event, pick up this week's copy of Motorsport News.
